# Meld Studio

## Getting Started

The Meld Studio service allows you to directly interact with your instance of Meld Studio to perform changes to scenes and sources. To connect to Meld Studio, simply click the Connect button while Meld Studio is running.

To interact with Meld Studio, you would add a [Meld Studio Action](/docs/integrations/meld-studio#actions) to your command.

## Actions

Meld Studio actions allow you to interact with Meld Studio to control functionality such as changing scenes and showing/hiding layers. To connect the software, see the [Meld Studio Service](/docs/integrations/meld-studio) page for more information.

This action supports the following options:

- **Show Scene:** Transition to a specific Scene.
- **Show/Hide Layer:** Shows, hides, or toggles the visibility of a layer on a specific scene.
- **Show/Hide Effect:** Shows, hides, or toggles the visibility of an effect on a specific scene & layer.
- **Mute/Unmute Audio Track:** Turns on, off, or toggles the mute state of an audio track.
- **Monitor/Unmonitor Audio Track:** Turns on, off, or toggles the monitor state of an audio track.
- **Set Audio Track Gain:** Sets the gain level of an audio track.
- **Take Screenshot:** Takes a screenshot of the currently active scene.
- **Start/Stop Stream:** Turns on, off, or toggles the stream state.
- **Start/Stop Recording:** Turns on, off, or toggles the recording state.
- **Record Clip:** Triggers a clip recording. Mix It Up sends only a bare trigger command with no duration parameter, so the clip length is determined entirely by Meld Studio's own settings (not a fixed 90-second window).
