# XSplit

## Getting Started

The XSplit connection allows you to directly interact with your instance of XSplit to perform changes to scenes and sources.

To interact with XSplit, you would add a [Streaming Software Action](/docs/actions/streaming-software-action) to your command.

To enable XSplit connectivity, you must do the following:

- Start XSplit and navigate to "Extensions" -> "Add custom extension". In the open file dialog that pops up, navigate to your Mix It Up installation folder and select the "Mix It Up.html" file under the "XSplit" folder.

- Navigate to Extensions -> Mix It Up to launch the Mix It Up listener. This window must remain open for Mix It Up XSplit interactions to work.

- Click on the "Enable XSplit" button.

To test the feature has been set up successfully, you can click on the "Test Connection" button, which will pop a dialog in Mix It Up if the connection was successful.
