Platform Message actions allow you to send a chat message to one specific streaming platform. This is the difference between it and the Chat Action, which sends to every connected platform at once. If you are connected to Twitch and YouTube and only want the message to land on Twitch, this is the action to use.
This action supports the following options:
- Send As Streamer: The message is sent from your custom Bot account if one is signed in for that platform, otherwise it is sent from your Streamer account. Turn this on to force the message to come from the Streamer account.
- Platform: The platform the message is sent to. Every supported platform is listed rather than only the ones you are currently connected to, so a saved action still shows what it was pointed at after that platform is disconnected.
You may use Special Identifiers in the chat message text.
Nothing is sent if the selected platform is not connected when the action runs. Each platform branch is gated on that platform’s session being connected, and there is no fallback to another platform.
This action has no Whisper option. If you need to whisper a user, use the Chat Action instead.
